The wooden bungalows at Hotel Casitas Mar Y Luz are like a Caribbean dream come true! The cozy atmosphere and charming decorations make you feel right at home. I loved having my own kitchen, complete with a fridge and coffee maker, so I could cook and enjoy my meals at my own pace. The hammock on the terrace was the perfect spot to unwind and soak in the beautiful garden view. Plus, the mosquito nets and ceiling fans kept me cool and comfortable throughout my stay. As a laid-back traveler, this was the ideal room for me.

The only thing I didn't enjoy as much was the free toiletries provided in the private bathroom. It's just my personal opinion, but I found them to be not as high quality as I would have liked.

I had a wonderful time staying at Casitas Mar Y Luz in Puerto Viejo. The bungalows were pretty with a lovely garden, providing a peaceful and relaxing environment. The location was perfect, just a short walk from Playa Chiquita which we found to be one of the best beaches in the area. The beach was clean and uncrowded, with beautiful light brown sand and water. Our cabin was well-equipped with a small kitchen area and a porch for dining. The surrounding flowering plants added privacy and created a charming atmosphere. Despite the early morning noise of howler monkeys, it added to the unique experience. Henri, our host, was friendly and helpful, ensuring that we had everything we needed during our stay. Although there was no air conditioning, the fan and natural breeze kept us comfortable.
